Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the hood.
2. Remove the hood secondary catch and primary latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the hood primary latch cable release lever. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement (Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement).




4. Using a taped flat-bladed tool, disconnect the hood latch cable clamps.
5. Pull the cable at the grommet (1) from the engine compartment and remove it.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the cable at the grommet (1) to the engine compartment and install it.
2. Connect the hood latch cable clamps.
3. Remove the hood primary latch cable release lever. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement (Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement).
4. Remove the hood secondary catch and primary latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Close the hood.
