Transmission Assemble
1. Coat the new O-rings with ATF WS, and install them to the fluid pressure test hole plugs.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
2. Install the fluid pressure test hole plugs to the transmission case and tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
3. Apply threadlocker to the bolt threads.
4. Install the speed sensors (1) to the transmission case with the bolts and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
5. Coat a new O-ring (2) with ATF WS, and install it to the union.
6. Install the outlet oil cooler tube union (1) to the transmission case and tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb ft).
7. Coat a new O-ring (2) with ATF WS, and install it to the union.
8. Install the inlet oil cooler tube union (1) to the transmission case and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
9. Install the hose and a new O-ring (2) to the vent (1).
10. Install the vent hose to the transaxle case.
11. Install the park/neutral position switch onto the manual valve lever shaft and temporarily install the adjusting bolts (1, 2).
12. Install a new nut stopper and nut and tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
13. Hand tighten the control shaft lever (1).
14. Turn the lever counterclockwise until it stops, and then turn it clockwise 2 notches.
15. Remove the control shaft lever.
16. Align the groove with the neutral base line (2).
17. Hold the switch in that position and tighten the bolts (1, 3) to 5 Nm (44 lb in).
18. Using a screwdriver, stake the nut with the nut stopper.
19. Install the control shaft lever, washer, and nut (1), and tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb in).
20. Install the oil level indicator, O-ring, tube and bolt.
