J 37358-1/J 37358-2 Bearing Race Receiver and Case Support




1. Coat the lip of a new front wheel drive shaft seal with MP grease.
2. Using a suitable tool (1), drive in the front wheel drive shaft seal (2) into the differential housing.

Seal depth: -0.5 to +0.5 mm (-0.0197 to +0.0197 in)




3. Coat the lip of a new front wheel drive shaft seal with MP grease.
4. Using a suitable tool (1, 2), drive in the front wheel drive shaft seal into the transmission case.

Seal depth: 2.2-3.2 mm (0.0866-0.126 in)




5. Using a suitable tool (1, 2), install the front differential drive pinion gear outer bearing to the transmission case.




6. Install the thrust bearing to the transaxle housing.
7. Using a press (1, 2), install a new front differential drive pinion gear inner bearing to the differential housing.




8. Install the differential gear fluid pipe (1) to the differential housing.




9. Install the front differential pinion gear inner bearing retainer to the differential housing with the bolt (1) and tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb in).




10. Using a screwdriver, install the output gear bearing retainer to the transmission case.




11. Using a J 37358-1/J 37358-2 (1, 2), install the output gear bearing inner race to the transmission case.
12. Install the output gear bearing to the transmission case.




13. Using a J 37358-1/J 37358-2 (1, 2), install the output gear bearing outer race to the transmission case.
14. Install the output gear outer bearing to the transmission case.




15. Coat the lip of a new manual shift shaft seal with MP grease.
16. Using a suitable tool (1, 2), install the new manual shift shaft seal.

Seal depth: -0.5 to +0.5 mm (-0.020 to +0.020 in)
