Sun Gear Disassemble




1. Remove the rear sun gear thrust needle roller bearing from the rear sun gear assembly.




2. Remove the rear sun gear and 2nd clutch sprag assembly from the rear carrier.




3. Remove the low clutch sprag thrust outer washer and rear carrier thrust washer from the 2nd clutch sprag assembly.




4. Hold the 2nd clutch sprag and turn the sun gear.
5. Make sure the rear sun gear turns freely counterclockwise and locks when turned clockwise.




6. Remove the 2nd clutch sprag and the rear carrier thrust washer from the rear sun gear.
