J 43653 - Flywheel Holding Tool

Engine Flywheel with Manual Transmission
1. Ensure that J 43653 - tool is installed and engaging the flywheel to prevent crankshaft rotation.
2. Remove the flywheel attaching bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel (1), if the vehicle has a manual transmission.
4. Remove the pilot bearing. Refer to Clutch Pilot Bearing Replacement (Service and Repair) for manual transmission.
5. Remove J 43653 - tool.
Engine Flywheel with Automatic Transmission
1. Ensure that J 43653 - tool is installed and engaging the flywheel to prevent crankshaft rotation.
2. Remove the flywheel attaching bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel (1), if the vehicle has an automatic transmission.
4. Remove J 43653 - tool.
