Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the left and the right rear rocker trim panels.
Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the bolts and the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors from the lower/center pillar.
4. Remove the left and the right lower B-pillar trim panels. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket (Seat Replacement - Front Bucket) in Seats.
6. Pry off the left and the right front rocker trim panels.
7. Remove the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Removal and Replacement) in Instrument Panel , Gages and Console.

8. Remove the floor carpet.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the floor carpet.
2. Install the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Removal and Replacement) in Instrument Panel , Gages and Console.
3. Install the left and the right front rocker, trim panels.
4. Install the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket (Seat Replacement - Front Bucket) in Seats.

5. Install the left and the right lower B-pillar trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar (Removal and Replacement) .


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors to the lower/center pillar with the bolts.

Tighten the seat belt anchor bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

7. Install the rear seatback. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Seat Back Replacement - Rear) .

8. Install the left and the right rear rocker trim panels. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .

9. Connect the negative battery cable.
