Wiper Transmission Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the wiper arms.
2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
^ The 10 plastic retainers
^ The air inlet grille (1)




3. Remove the 6 nuts (1) that retain the wiper linkage assembly (2) to the cowl.
4. Remove the wiper motor.
5. Slide the wiper linkage assembly (2) through the cowl opening.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Slide the wiper linkage assembly (2) through the cowl opening.
2. Install the wiper motor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precations.

3. Install the wiper linkage assembly (2) to the cowl. Secure the wiper linkage assembly with 6 retaining nuts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the wiper linkage assembly retaining nuts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)




4. Install the air inlet grille (1). Secure the grille with the 10 plastic retainers.
5. Install the wiper arms.
