29. Transaxle Case Housing Installation

IMPORTANT: Position the gasket correctly so that the gasket does protrude inside the transaxle case.





1. Install a new transaxle case housing gasket (702) to the transaxle case.
2. Install the case housing (701) and position the housing on the transaxle case.

IMPORTANT: Lubricate only the three Torx(r) bolts (703). Do not lubricate the other 11 bolts.





3. Install 14 transaxle case housing bolts. Lubricate the threads of the three Torx(r) bolts with Loctite pipe sealant GM P/N 1052080 or equivalent. Install these bolts in their proper positions, as shown in the illustration.
- Tighten all case housing bolts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
