Automatic Transmission Dipstick - Dipstick Tube: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the fluid level indicator.






3. Remove the filler tube bracket bolt (3).
4. Remove the filler tube (2) from the transaxle case.
5. Inspect the filler tube O-ring for damage. Replace the O-ring, as necessary.

Installation Procedure






1. Install the filler tube (2) into the transaxle case. Ensure that the filler tube is seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the filler tube bracket bolt (3).
Tighten the filler tube bracket bolt to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
3. Install the fluid level indicator.
4. Refill the transaxle, as necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure.
