Knee Bolster Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement (Knee Bolster Panel Replacement - Driver).
2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

* The 2 plastic clips
* The energy absorber (2)

3. Remove the following components from the instrument panel:

* The 4 screws
* The knee bolster (1)

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the knee bolster (1) to the vehicle. Secure the knee bolster with the 4 bolts.

Tighten the knee bolster bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

2. Install the energy absorber (2). Secure the energy absorber with the 2 clips.
3. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement (Knee Bolster Panel Replacement - Driver).
