Ignition Coil Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the coil wire from the ignition coil.
2. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the ignition coil ground wire electrical connector.
4. Remove two bolts and the ignition coil mounting bracket (1) from the bulkhead.
5. Remove two screws and the ignition coil from the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the ignition coil to the ignition coil mounting bracket (1). Secure with two screws.
2. Install the ignition coil mounting bracket to the bulkhead. Secure with two bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the ignition coil mounting bracket bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

3. Connect the ignition coil ground wire electrical connector.
4. Connect the ignition coil electrical connector.
5. Connect the coil wire to the ignition coil.
