Liquid Vapor Separator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the 2 fuel vapor hoses from the fuel vapor separator.
3. Remove the screw and the fuel vapor separator from the fuel tank.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Align the notch in the fuel vapor separator with the hole in the fuel tank.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fuel vapor separator to the fuel tank, and secure the fuel vapor separator with the screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.2-2.0 N.m (11-18 lb in).

3. Connect the 2 fuel vapor hoses, and secure the hoses with the 2 clamps.
4. Install the fuel tank to the vehicle.
