Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
^ Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
^ Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
^ Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
^ Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
^ Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
^ Properly dispose of the used bulb.
^ Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.


1. Remove the 2 screws (1, 7) that retain the headlamp (6).
2. Loosen the headlamp bulb lock ring (4) by rotating the ring in a counterclockwise direction.
3. Remove the headlamp bulb (3) from the headlamp (6).
4. Remove the bulb socket from the electrical connector.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bulb socket to the electrical connector.
2. Install the headlamp bulb lock ring (4) and the headlamp bulb (3) to the headlamp. Rotate the locking ring clockwise in order to secure the headlamp bulb.
3. Install the headlamp (6) to the vehicle. Secure the headlamp with the 2 screws (1, 7).
4. Adjust the headlamp aim. Refer to Headlamp Aiming.
