Pressure Relief Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

The 2 pressure relief vents are located in the following areas:

* The left side of the vehicle behind the rear bumper fascia
* The right side of the vehicle behind the rear bumper fascia

It is possible to service a vent without removing the rear bumper fascia.




1. Gently squeeze both sides of the pressure relief vent (2).




2. Remove the pressure relief vent (2) by reaching up between the outer rear compartment wall and the rear bumper fascia (1).
3. Remove the pressure relief vent flap from the pressure relief vent body (2), if necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the pressure relief vent flap to the pressure relief vent body (2), if necessary.
2. Install the pressure relief vent (2) by reaching up between the outer rear compartment wall and the rear bumper fascia (1).




3. Install the pressure relief vent (2) into the outer rear compartment wall (1). Ensure that the retaining tabs are completely engaged.
