8. Timing Belt Tensioner Removal

1. Remove the timing chain tensioner bolt (3).
2. Remove the timing chain tensioner stud.
3. Remove the timing belt tensioner.
4. Remove the tensioner plate.
5. Remove the tensioner spring and the spring damper.
6. Inspect the timing belt for wear or for cracks. Replace the belt as necessary.





7. Inspect the timing belt tensioner for smooth rotation.
