Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling

Caution: Use only Delco Supreme II (GM P/N# 12377967) or equivalent DOT 3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed container. Do not use fluid from an open container that may be contaminated with water. Improper or contaminated fluid could result in damage to components, or loss of braking, with possible injury.

Important: Keep the master cylinder reservoir properly filled in order to insure adequate fluid reserve and in order to prevent air from entering the hydraulic system. Do not overfill the master cylinder because heat absorbed from the brakes and the engine may cause the fluid to expand.





1. Clean the reservoir cap before removal in order to prevent dirt from entering the reservoir.
2. Remove the master cylinder brake fluid reservoir cap.
3. Fill the reservoir until the fluid reaches the MAX mark.
4. Install the reservoir cap.
