Brake Hose Replacement - Rear
Removal Procedure1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Clean all of the dirt and foreign material from the hose and the fittings.
3. Remove the three E-clips (1) from the rear brake hose guide brackets.
4. Remove the brake hose (3) at the pipe fitting and at the wheel cylinder (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the brake hose (3) to the pipe fitting and the wheel cylinder (2).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Secure the brake hose (3) with pipe fitting nuts. Tighten Tighten the brake pipe fitting nuts to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the rear brake hose (3) to the guide brackets. Secure the hose with three E-clips (1).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Flush and bleed brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Flushing.
