Rear Side Door Upper Hinge and Lower Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the front side door.

Important: Remove only one hinge at a time in order to keep the door properly aligned.


2. Remove the 2 door to hinge bolts.
3. Remove the 2 hinge to door jamb bolts.
4. Remove the upper or lower hinge (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the hinge (2) to the door jamb. Secure the hinge with 2 bolts.

Tighten the hinge-to-door-jamb bolts to 34 Nm (25 lb ft).

2. Install the 2 door to hinge bolts.

Tighten the door-to-hinge bolts to 34 Nm (25 lb ft).

3. Repeat the removal and installation steps for the opposite hinge, if necessary.
4. Close the front side door.
