Removal Procedure

Caution: The seat belt assembly and/or bracket assembly must be replaced as a unit only. Do not substitute parts for any reason, or personal injury could result.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt.
3. Gently pry the B-pillar lower trim panel loose. Remove the panel from the vehicle.
4. Remove the 2 screws and the B-pillar seat belt guide.
5. Remove the screw and remove the front seat belt retractor (5) from the vehicle.
6. Open the cover and remove the front seat belt upper guide loop (1) anchor bolt.
7. Remove the bolt and remove the front seat belt buckle (3) from the front seat.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the front seat belt buckle (3) to the front seat. Secure the buckle with the bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt buckle bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

2. Install the front seat belt retractor (5) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the screw.
3. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the front seat lower anchor bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

4. Install the front seat belt guide loop (1) to the B-pillar. Secure the guide loop with the anchor bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt guide loop anchor bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

5. Install the B-pillar seat belt guide to the B-pillar with 2 screws.
6. Close the guide loop cover.
7. Install the B-pillar lower trim panel onto the B-pillar.
8. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
