Fuel Injector Resistor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the fuel injector resistor electrical connector.
2. Remove the two bolts and the fuel injector resistor (1) with bracket from the engine compartment bulkhead.




3. Remove the two screws and the fuel injector resistor from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




1. Install the fuel injector resistor to the bracket with the two screws.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel injector resistor attaching screws to 2.8 to 3.5 N.m (24 to 31 lb in).




2. Install the fuel injector resistor (1) and bracket to the engine compartment bulkhead with the two bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel injector resistor bracket bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the fuel injector resistor electrical connector.
