Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
^ Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb. Leave the lamp switch off until the bulb change is complete.
^ Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
^ Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
^ Do not drop or scratch the bulb.
^ Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
^ Place the used bulb in the new bulb's carton and dispose of it properly.
^ Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach Of children

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the 2 screws (1,7) which secure the composite headlamp/turn signal/parking lamp housing assembly (6).
3. Loosen the ring by rotating the composite headlamp bulb locking ring (4) in a counterclockwise direction.
4. Pull the bulb (3) from the composite headlamp housing.
5. Remove the bulb socket from the electrical connector.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. install the bulb socket to the electrical connector.
2. Install the locking ring (4) and the composite headlamp bulb (3) to the housing. Rotate the locking ring clockwise in order to secure the headlamp bulb.
3. Install the composite headlamp/turn signal/parking lamp housing assembly (6) to the vehicle. Secure the assembly with the 2 screws (1,7).
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Adjust the composite headlamp aim. Refer to Headlamp Aiming. Headlamp Aiming
