Timing Belt Front Cover Replace
Timing Belt Components:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery ground cable.
2. Partially drain cooling system.
3. Coolant recovery reservoir.
4. Serpentine and A/C (if equipped) belts.
5. Loosen serpentine belt tensioner bolt and allow tensioner arm to swing downward.
6. Evaporative emission hose.
7. Timing belt cover upper bolts and nuts.
8. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
9. Crankshaft pulley.
10. Timing belt cover lower bolts and nuts.
11. Timing belt cover.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Timing belt cover.
2. Timing belt cover lower bolts and nuts and torque to 7 Nm (62 in lbs).
3. Crankshaft pulley.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Timing belt cover upper bolts and nuts and torque to 7 Nm (62 in lbs).
6. Evaporative emission hose.
7. Serpentine belt tensioner into position and torque to 48 Nm (35 ft lbs).
8. Serpentine and A/C (if equipped) belts.
9. Coolant recovery reservoir.
10. Fill cooling system.
11. Battery ground cable.
