Ignition Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement () .
2. Remove the fasteners securing the ignition switch to the I/P retainer.
3. Push and release the retaining tab at the rear of the ignition switch.
4. Remove the ignition switch through the radio opening in the retainer.
5. Disconnect the shift interlock cable from the ignition switch.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from ignition switch.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the electrical connectors to the ignition switch.
2. Connect the shift interlock cable to the ignition switch.
3. Route the ignition switch through the radio opening and position to the retainer.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
4. Install the fasteners in order to secure the ignition switch to the I/P retainer.
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
5. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement () .
