Bracket Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) End

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer toSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
2. Remove the I/P carrier. Refer toInstrument Panel (I/P) Carrier Replacement (Instrument Panel (IP) - Carrier Replacement) .




3. Remove the fasteners from the I/P end bracket to the hinge pillar.
4. Remove the I/P end bracket.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the I/P end bracket to the hinge pillar.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners in order to secure the I/P end bracket to the hinge pillar.

Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the I/P carrier. Refer toInstrument Panel (I/P) Carrier Replacement (Instrument Panel (IP) - Carrier Replacement) .
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer toSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
