Hood Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the bolts (1) that retain the hood latch.




3. Disconnect the hood release cable from the hood latch (1).
4. Remove the hood latch (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Connect the hood release cable (1) to the hood latch (2).




2. Install the hood latch (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts (1) in order to retain the hood latch.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Adjust the hood primary latch (2). Refer to Hood Latch Adjustment (Adjustments) .
