Scan Tool Data Definitions
Scan Tool Data DefinitionsABS Reference Speed: The scan tool displays 0 to 255 km/h (0 to 159 mph). The vehicle speed from the average of all four wheel speeds.
Check Tires: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes Indicates the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system has detected a low tire pressure condition and the Tire Pressures Should be inspected. No indicates the tire pressures are within specifications.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0 to 17 Volts. The level of ignition voltage at the EBCM.
LF Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 to 255 km/h (0 to 159 mph). The actual speed of the left front wheel.
LR Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 to 255 km/h (0 to 159 mph). The actual speed of the left rear wheel.
RF Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 to 255 km/h (0 to 159 mph). The actual speed of the right front wheel.
RR Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 to 255 km/h (0 to 159 mph). The actual speed of the right rear wheel.
TIM Auto Learn mode Active: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates the TPM system is currently learning the tire pressure calibration for the speed range the vehicle is in. No indicates the TPM system has learned the tire pressure calibration for the speed range the vehicle is in.
TIM Failed: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates a malfunction has been detected in the TPM system. No indicates the TPM system is operating to specification.
TIM Monitor Mode 1: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates the TPM system is in the initial stage of learning the tire pressure calibrations and has no tire pressure detection capability for the speed range the vehicle is in. No indicates the TPM system has partially learned the tire pressure calibration and has limited tire pressure detection capability for the speed range the vehicle is in.
TIM Monitor Mode 2: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates the TPM system has full detection capability for a low tire condition and has fully learned the tire pressure calibration for the speed range the vehicle is in. No indicates the TPM system has not completed monitor mode 1 and has limited tire pressure detection capability.
