Console Replacement - Front Floor

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the center IP trim plate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - IP Center (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Center) .
2. Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the console tray insert. Refer to Console Tray Insert Replacement (Console Tray Insert Replacement) .
4. Remove the left console trim panel. Refer toConsole Trim Panel Replacement - Left (Console Trim Panel Replacement - Left) .
5. Remove the right console trim panel. Refer toConsole Trim Panel Replacement - Right (Console Trim Panel Replacement - Right) .




6. Remove the shifter cable.




7. Remove the park/shift lock cable.




8. Remove the console main wiring harness connector.




9. Open the IP storage compartment door and remove the fastener (1).




10. Remove the fasteners (1, 2) from the console to the IP.




11. Remove the fasteners (1) from the console to the floor.
12. Move the front seats to the full forward position.
13. Remove the fasteners (2) from the console to the floor.
Move the front seats to the full rearward position.
14. Carefully, so as not to damage the seats, slide the console rearward and up to remove from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Carefully, so as not to damage the seats, install the console into the vehicle by sliding forward and fitting up to the IP.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners (1) from the console to the floor.

Tighten the fasteners (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Move the seat to the full forward position.
4. Install the fasteners (2) from the console to the floor.

Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





5. Install the fasteners (1, 2) from the console to the IP.

Tighten the fasteners (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).


Tighten the fastener (2) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).





6. Install the right side fastener (1).

Tighten the fastener to 2 N.m (18 lb in).





7. Connect the main wiring harness connector.




8. Install the park/shift lock cable.




9. Install the shifter cable.
10. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the right console trim panel. Refer toConsole Trim Panel Replacement - Right (Console Trim Panel Replacement - Right) .
12. Install the left console trim panel. Refer toConsole Trim Panel Replacement - Left (Console Trim Panel Replacement - Left) .
13. Install the tray assembly. Refer to Console Tray Insert Replacement (Console Tray Insert Replacement) .
14. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console (Service and Repair) .
15. Install the center IP trim plate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - IP Center (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Center) .
