CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONThe current drawn from the battery supply to the memory seat module (MSM) is monitored by the MSM. When excessive current is detected, the MSM disables the seat motors in order to protect the internal MSM circuitry.
CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The MSM tests for excessive current only when the seat motors are active.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The MSM will set DTC B3793 when the measured battery current exceeds 81 amps for 100 milliseconds.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
All MSM seat motors are disabled and memory recalls in progress are aborted.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
The current status of the DTC is cleared when the DTC runs and does not detect excessive current.
