Air Pipes Bank 1 - Dual Pump
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the vacuum connections from the AIR check valve.
2. Remove the AIR Vacuum Control Solenoid from the rear AIR check valve bracket.
3. Loosen and lower the pinch clamp holding the AIR exhaust hose to the rear AIR check valve.
4. Remove the nuts retaining the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR check valve bracket.
5. Remove the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR check valve.
6. Remove the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to exhaust manifold pipe to the exhaust manifold.
7. Remove the bolts retaining the AIR check valve bracket to the engine.
8. Remove the AIR check valve and the exhaust manifold pipe.
9. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe from the AIR check valve.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the exhaust manifold pipe to the rear AIR check valve.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
2. Install the exhaust manifold pipe, the gasket, and the retaining nuts to the exhaust manifold.
3. Install the bolts retaining the AIR check valve bracket to the engine.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts and the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
4. Install the AIR exhaust hose and clamp the hose to the AIR check valve.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts retaining the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR bracket to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
5. Install the AIR Vacuum Control Solenoid to the AIR check valve bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts and the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
6. Reconnect the AIR vacuum connections.
