Date

The DIC displays the date and sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the time. The radio displays the time. The DIC displays the date in the following format:

Day of week, month, day of month

The month is spelled out while the common abbreviated spelling is used for the day of the week. In order to reset the date, perform the following steps:
1. Press the RESET button while the date is displayed.
2. YEAR? will display with the current year setting flashing. Press the SELECT RIGHT button in order to increment the year by one or press the SELECT DOWN button in order to decrement the year by one.
3. Press the RESET button again in order to change the month.
4. MONTH? will display with the current month setting flashing. Press the SELECT RIGHT button in order to increment the month by one or press the SELECT DOWN button in order to decrement the month by one.
5. Press the RESET button again in order to change the day of the month.
6. DAY? will display with the current day setting flashing. Press the SELECT RIGHT button in order to increment the day by one or press the SELECT DOWN button in order to decrement the day by one.

The DIC displays CONFIRM TIME & DATE if the radio requests a time update or if the battery has been disconnected. The message is turned off by pressing the RESET button. The last known date is then displayed.
