Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the oil level indicator.
2. Remove the AIR valve bracket bolt.
3. Loosen the oil level indicator tube nut.
4. Pull the oil level indicator tube from the crankcase.

Installation Procedure





1. Replace the oil level indicator tube O-ring.
2. Install the oil level indictor tube.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the AIR valve bracket bolt.
^ Tighten the oil level indicator tube nut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
^ Tighten the AIR valve bracket bolt to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
4. Install the oil level indicator.
