Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) in General Information.
3. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement).




4. Remove the fasteners (3, 4) retaining the front bumper impact bar.
5. Remove the front bumper impact bar.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front bumper impact bar.
2. Loose assemble fastener (4) through the bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the fasteners to secure the front bumper impact bar to the bracket.

Tighten the fasteners (3) first, then (4) to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

4. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Close the hood.
