Power Mirror Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the trim panel retaining fasteners from the lower armrest bezel.
3. Remove the lower armrest bezel. Using a flat-bladed tool, disengage the switch plate retainer clips.
4. Insert a small, flat-bladed tool between the 5 inch plate and the trim panel.
5. Lift the switch plate.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Remove the setscrew.
8. Remove the mirror switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the mirror control switch to the switch late.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the setscrew.

Tighten
Tighten the set screw to 8 N.m (7 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connectors.
4. Install the switch plate in the trim panel. Push downward the switch plate in order to secure the retaining clips.
5. Install the lower armrest bezel.
6. Install the lower armrest bezel fasteners in order to secure.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
