I/P Lamp Dimmer Switch
The I/P lamp
dimmer switch allows the operator to turn on the
courtesy lamps from inside the vehicle. When the I/P lamp dimmer switch is in the DOME position, the switch sends a ground signal to the BCM through circuit 1495. This action causes the BCM to turn on the courtesy lamps. When the I/P lamp dimmer switch is off, the BCM turns off the courtesy lamps. The I/P lamp switch is protected by the inadvertent load (battery rundown) protection in case the I/P lamp dimmer switch is left in the DOME position with the ignition switch off.
