Mirror, Window and Door Lock Switch Replacement (Front Door)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




CAUTION: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the drivers door. When operated, the Express Down feature allows the door window to drop very quickly, which could cause personal injury.


IMPORTANT: When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch it a flat-bladed tool, awl or metal object is used to remove the switch from the harness.


IMPORTANT: Protect the trim panel at the point of insertion of the flat bladed tool to avoid damaging the trim panel.

1. Remove the power window/power door lock switch mounting plate using a small flat-bladed tool.
Insert the tool at the rear of the switch mounting plate releasing the switch mounting plate retainer.
Lift the rear of the plate up.
2. Slide the switch plate rearward out of the door trim panel.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.




4. Unsnap the switch(s) from the mounting plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Connect the electrical connectors.
2. Install the switch(s) to the mounting plate. Press the switch(s) down until fully seated.
3. Insert the front of the mounting plate into the trim panel.
4. Press down on the rear of the mounting plate until the plate is fully seated.
