Instrument Panel (IP) - Insulator Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




TOOLS REQUIRED
J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Remove the push-in retainers from the instrument panel insulators using J 38778.




2. Remove the courtesy lamp from the instrument panel insulators.
3. Pull the left instrument panel insulator forward from stud at accelerator pedal.
4. Pull the right instrument panel insulator forward from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Align the instrument panel insulators to the instrument panel.




2. Install the courtesy lamp to the instrument panel insulators.
3. Position left instrument panel insulator to stud at accelerator pedal.




4. Install the push-in retainers to the left instrument panel insulator.
5. Push up on the left forward side of left instrument panel insulator to locate to ledge in dash mat.
6. Position the right instrument panel insulator to the instrument panel.
7. Install the push-in retainers to the right instrument panel insulator.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the right instrument panel insulator does not block the floor heater outlet.

Push up and forward on right instrument panel insulator to locate to ledge in dash mat.
