Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the front door inner trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the inner belt sealing strip.
4. Remove the window to window regulator bolts (1 2).




5. Remove the front door window from the front door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front door window between the inner and the outer panels.




2. Point the lower front corner of the front door window down and pass through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges with the front door window weatherstrip.
4. Turn the front door window to a horizontal position and align the holes in the window with the holes in the regulator.
Ensure that the window clips are seated on the regulator carrier plate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

IMPORTANT: Install the forward bolt first.

5. Install the window to the window regulator bolts (1,2).

Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

IMPORTANT: Ensure that both sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.

6. Install the inner belt sealing strip.
7. Install the water deflector.
8. Install the door trim panel.
