Wiper Motor Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator
1. Remove the wiper arms.
2. Remove the air inlet grille panel from the vehicle.
3. Remove the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39232.
4. Pull two retainers from the wiper motor connectors.
5. Disconnect two harness connectors from the wiper motor.
6. Remove two screws, the stud, and the wiper motor from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Install the wiper motor onto the vehicle with two screws and one stud.
Tighten
Tighten the screws and the stud to 15 N.m (132 lb in).
2. Install the two harness connectors on the wiper motor.
3. Install two retainers onto two harness connectors.
4. Install the transmission drive link socket onto the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39529. Ensure that the socket is fully seated onto the crank arm.
5. Install the air inlet panel onto the vehicle.
6. Install the wiper arms.
