Air Compressor Leak Test - ALC

OAIR COMPRESSOR LEAK TEST

^ Tools Required
- J22124-B Pressure Gage (0 - 300 psi)
- J22124-91 Pressure Gage Adapter

1. Attach the J22124-91 to the air dryer.
2. Attach the J22124-B to the J22124-91 with the toggle valve (5) on the opposite side of the air compressor. Close the toggle valve.
3. Apply air pressure at the schrader valve (4). Pressurize until the J22124-B reads 690 kPa (100 psi).
4. Check the following areas using soap bubbles:
^ Solenoid valve (1)-Replace the air compressor head if leaking.
^ Air dryer to compressor head O-ring (2) -Replace the air dryer if leaking.
^ Air dryer cover (3) - Replace the air dryer if leaking.
^ Air compressor head gasket (6)-Replace the air compressor head if leaking.
^ Air compressor head cover gasket (7) - Tighten the cover bolts to 5.6 Nm (50 inch lbs.) if the head cover gasket is leaking. If the leak persists, replace the air compressor head.
