Tilt Head - Disassemble

DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Remove the SM coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.





2. Remove the bearing retainer using J23653-SIR.





3. Remove the bearing retainer (6) and dispose of it.
4. Remove the shaft lock (5).
5. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (4).
6. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
7. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (2).
8. Remove the inner race (1).
