Tilt Head - Assemble

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor





1. Install the inner race (1).

Important: The steering column must be in the 12 o'clock position.

2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (2).
3. Install the upper bearing spring (3).
4. Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (4). Lubricate with synthetic grease.
5. Install the shaft lock (5).
6. Install the bearing retainer (6).





7. To install the bearing retainer you have to use J23653-SIR
8. Install the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Assemble - Off Vehicle
