Pulley Removal and Installation

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J25034-B Pulley Remover

1. Remove the pump drive belts.
2. Remove the pump from the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (Oldsmobile).





3. Using the J25034-B, remove the pulley from the pump

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J25033-B Pulley Installer





1. Using the J25033-B, install the pulley onto the pump





2. Set the axial tolerance of the pulley on the pump shaft at -0.25 mm to 0.25 mm (-0.010 inch to 0.010 inch).
3. Install the pump to the engine.
4. Install the pump drive belt.
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding Power Steering System.
6. Inspect the system for leaks.
