Power Steering Pump: Description and Operation

Oldsmobile uses a TC-series power steering pump. The pump is vane-type positive displacement pump with an integral fluid reservoir. A pressure relief valve limits maximum system pressure. The relief valve is located inside the flow control valve in the pump housing. Do not service the relief valve separately. The engine drive belt drives the power steering pump.
