Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The backup lamps are an integral part of the license plate pocket. You may only service the backup lamps as an assembly. Service the backup lamp bulbs using the procedure below.

1. Remove the screws (4) retaining the license plate pocket.
2. Perform the following procedure in order to remove the backup lamp sockets (3) from the backup lamp assembly (1):
^ Squeeze the tang.
^ Turn the socket in a counterclockwise direction.
3. Remove the bulbs (2) from the sockets (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bulbs (2) into the sockets (3).
2. Install the sockets (3) into the backup lamp assembly (1).
3. Install the license plate pocket.
4. Install the screws (4) in order to retain the license plate pocket.
