Vacuum Fluorescent (VF) Information Display Panel

The Vacuum Fluorescent (VF) panel provides system operating information for the driver.
The Oldsmobile display panels are equipped with a 3 digit temperature display. The following letters appear on the display:
^ C
^ F

°C and °F also appear on the display. The °C is illuminated when metric units are requested. The °F is illuminated for temperature display in English units. The following words appear on the display:
^ OUTSIDE TEMP
^ SET

With the blower operating in the manual mode, at least 1 Light Emitting Diode (LED) will be illuminated. As the blower control knob is turned clockwise, the following actions occur:
^ More LEDs will illuminate.
^ The blower speed increases.

As the blower control knob is turned counterclockwise, the following actions occur:
^ The LEDs will extinguish.
^ The blower speed decreases.

The manual mode consists of 9 blower speeds.

No indicators are illuminated if the following conditions exist:
^ When either system is operating in the AUTO mode.
^ The fan speed control is set to AUTO.

Instead, the word AUTO illuminates. When the system is turned OFF, the fan speed display area is blank.
