82. Accessory Installation

DRIVE BELT TENSIONER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Place the drive belt tensioner in position. Be sure to locate the tensioner anchor pin in the cylinder head recess.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.
^ Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

GENERATOR INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the generator front mounting bracket to the block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the generator front mounting bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the generator front mounting bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the generator rear mounting bracket to the generator.





4. Install the generator rear mounting bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the generator rear mounting bracket bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Place the generator in position.





6. Install the generator mounting bolts finger tight.
7. Tighten the generator mounting bolts in the following sequence:
7.1. Tighten the generator front lower mounting bracket bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.2. Tighten the generator front upper mounting bracket bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7.3. Tighten the generator rear mounting bracket bolts to the engine block to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the air conditioning compressor rear mounting stud to the engine block.
^ Tighten the air conditioning compressor rear mounting stud to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the air conditioning compressor by sliding onto the rear mounting stud and hold the air conditioning compressor in position.





5. Install the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts and nut finger tight.
6. Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts and nut in the following sequence:
6.1. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front lower mounting bolt to the engine block to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
6.2. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front upper mounting bolt to the engine block to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
6.3. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front mounting bolt to the generator/air conditioning compressor mounting bracket to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
6.4. Tighten the air conditioning compressor rear mounting bracket nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

POWER STEERING PUMP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Important: Ensure the power steering pump is as far back toward the rear of the engine as possible before tightening the bolt.

1. Place the power steering pump in position in the engine valley. Slide the molded wedge into the retaining feature cast into the cylinder block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the power steering pump bolt.
^ Tighten the power steering pump bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

DRIVE BELT IDLER PULLEY INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Place the drive belt idler pulley and bolt (1) in position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
^ Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
