BPMV Bracket Replacement (Side Rail Bracket)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the BPMV upper bolts.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.
3. Remove the BPMV lower bolt.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Remove the side rail bracket bolts.

IMPORTANT: Support the BPMV while the bracket is removed in order to prevent excess stress on the brake components.

6. Remove the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bracket.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the side rail bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the BPMV upper bolts.
^ Tighten the upper bolts to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
5. Install the BPMV lower bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

6. Lower the vehicle.
