Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. For the 2.4L only, remove the cruise control cable cover.
Pry the unit oft with a flat-bladed tool.
2. Remove the cruise control cable from the throttle body cam.
3. Remove the cruise control cable from the throttle body control bracket.
4. Remove the cruise control cable from the module by turning the cable assembly counterclockwise.




5. Remove the cable from the ribbon.
6. Remove the cable from the retaining clips.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the cable to the retaining clips.
2. Install the cable to the ribbon.




IMPORTANT: DO NOT twist the ribbon when connecting the cable to the module.

3. Install the cable assembly to the module by turning the cable assembly clockwise.




4. Install the cruise control cable to the throttle body control bracket.
5. Install the cruise control cable to the throttle body cam.
6. Adjust the cruise control cable. Refer to Cruise Control Cable Adjustment (2.4L) or to Cruise Control Cable Adjustment (3.4L). Adjustments
7. For the 2.4L only, install the cruise control cable cover.
Ensure the unit locks into place.
