Compressor Control Valve Assembly: Service and Repair

Tools Required
- J 5403 Snap Ring Pliers
- J 39500 R-134a Air Conditioning Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling And Recharging System

Removal Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant using the J 39500.
2. Remove the control valve retaining ring using the J5403.
3. Remove the control valve assembly (5).

Installation Procedure

1. Coat the O-rings with 525 viscosity refrigeration oil.
2. Using thumb pressure, push the O-rings in place.

Important: Ensure that the retaining ring is properly seated in the ring groove.

3. Using the J5403, install the valve retaining ring with the high point of the curved sides against the valve housing.
4. Evacuate the system. Recharge the system.
5. Perform a leak test.
