A/T Range Selector Cable Replacement (Floor Shift)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the cable from the transmission manual shaft lever and the bracket on the transmission.
2. Remove the shift handle.
3. Remove the console trim and the console, as necessary.





4. Remove the cable retaining clips and the cable at the console.
5. Remove the left sound insulator.





6. Pull back the carpet in order to expose the cable.





7. Remove the shift control cable assembly through the hole in the cowl.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Properly route the shift control cable. Position the cable.
2. Install the carpet into position.
3. Install the left sound insulator.
4. Install the cable at the console and the retaining clip.
5. Install the console and the console trim, as removed.
6. Install the shift handle.





7. Install the cable to the transmission manual shaft lever and bracket.
8. Adjust the cable. Refer to AT Range Selector Cable Adjustment.
